Just got my last, smallest (of course!), picky ball python eating as of this hour! I hate the will-he-eat, won't-he-eat drama every spring, but LOVE my ball pythons! At least I've now got my daughter past the "Oh, my snake's gonna die!" freakout of winter shutdown. She's very blase about the whole thing now, and leaves mom to deal with the not-eating-yet stress.
But they're ALL eating now!! CELEBRATION!

Funny, my BPs are pretty good eaters, and surprisingly, no one in my group of 7 has brumated since we moved to Alaska. So feeding has been on schedule, ever 2 weeks or so, through our entire first freezing winter up here :)

Wed, March 25, 2009 - 3:50 PMYep..spring is in the air. My little girl ate last night -- no meal since Sept. I do try to feed her every 2-3 weeks over the winter knowing that she will not eat but still offer just in case. Last night as soon as I started to put it in the cage.....I knew from her reaction. Yippeee.....growing time again!
It is so weird to get so excited over a snake eating huh????? No one understands except other snake owners!
