I am wondering what you all use for substrate for those of you that have *plastic* snake enclosures?
We just ordered her "house", and I am hoping to use papertoweling or unprinted newspaper for the bottom. Will this work okay? (The heat source is a radiant heat panel, that mounts to the ceiling of the 36X18X18 cage.) Any other suggestions welcome! :)

Re: The Right Substrate for Plastic Cages....
Sun, May 11, 2008 - 6:32 AMPaper towels or newspaper will work fine.
I use a material called "Dri Dek". It is a little bit expensive in the begining but it will last for many years.
I believe the minimum order would give you enough for 3 cages the size you have so maybe something to think about when you get more snakes. -
